Guwahati: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) RSCB-NER is set to host the much-anticipated All India Inter Zonal Cricket Tournament 2024-25 in Guwahati, Assam.
The tournament, held under the aegis of the AAI Sports Control Board, CHQ New Delhi, will feature 16 matches over five days, running from January 6 to 10, 2025.
Bringing together six regional teams of AAI, the tournament aims to foster a vibrant sports culture and camaraderie among its officials.
Teams will arrive in Guwahati on January 5, ahead of the tournament’s inauguration, which is scheduled for 7:30 am on January 6 at Judges Field.
The opening ceremony will be graced by M Raja Kishore, Regional Executive Director, North Eastern Region, Airports Authority of India, along with dignitaries such as Gyan Batra, Vice President, RSCB-NER, and Pabitra Das, Regional Secretary of the Airport Authority Employees Union, NER.

Matches will be held across two venues—Judges Field and the Railway Stadium in Maligaon.
While most games will take place during the day, a few high-stakes encounters will be played under floodlights at Judges Field, adding a thrilling dimension to the competition.
The grand final match is slated for the morning of January 10 at Judges Field, followed by a formal closing ceremony at Hotel Kiranshree Grand in the evening.
This initiative by AAI is not just about cricket—it’s about promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and a sense of unity among employees.
With competitive matches and an exciting lineup of teams, the tournament promises to be a landmark event in AAI’s sports calendar.
