Delhi University on Wednesday announced a special mop-up admission round to fill vacant seats in its undergraduate programmes for the academic session 2025-26.
Unlike the earlier stages where Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores were used, this round will consider Class 12 marks for eligibility and admissions.
According to a statement issued by the University Registrar, the mop-up round has been introduced to provide an opportunity to eligible candidates who could not secure admission earlier.
The application process for the mop-up round will begin on September 4, and interested candidates can apply through the DU CSAS admission portal at admissions.du.ac.in.
According to the official notice, the mop-up round will only be applicable for vacant seats in DU colleges and programmes. The list of available seats will be published on September 4 at 5 pm.
Candidates who are already admitted to any DU programme or college through CUET-based counselling are not eligible for this round. Students who were registered on the CSAS UG 2025 portal but remain unadmitted as of September 4, at 5 pm can log in to their dashboard and apply under the Mop-Up Round tab.
Those who have not registered earlier on the CSAS UG 2025 portal may also participate by registering on ugadmission.uod.ac.in and paying a non-refundable mop-up registration fee of Rs 1,000.
The seat allocation for the mop-up round will take place between September 8 and September 11, after which candidates will be required to confirm their admission by paying the prescribed fee by September 13.
As per the official DU notice, candidates who are already admitted for any programme of the University based on CUET scores will not be able to participate in the Mop-Up Round.
