As the new year begins, banks across India are set to observe a total of 16 holidays in January 2024. Key holidays include New Year’s Day on January 1 and Republic Day on January 26.
The 16 days will encompass festivals, national holidays, second and fourth Saturdays, and Sundays.
While bank branches will remain closed, digital services such as mobile banking, UPI, and Internet banking will continue uninterrupted.
Customers are advised to plan their banking transactions accordingly. It’s crucial to note that holidays may vary from state to state.
