New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday at Parliament House, where he extended his heartfelt thanks on behalf of the people of Assam for the approval of a new urea plant in Namrup.

Sarma called the decision a “game-changer” for the state’s development, highlighting its significant impact on Assam’s growth trajectory.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister also discussed the upcoming Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit, scheduled for February 25, which will focus on investment and infrastructure in the state.

Sarma expressed his appreciation for the guidance provided by Prime Minister Modi in preparing for the event.

The meeting also touched upon the grand Jhumur dance performance, which will take place the day before the summit at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati.

Prime Minister Modi is set to attend the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit as the chief guest and will also witness the spectacular Jhumur performance, which is expected to be a highlight of the event.

On social media, Sarma shared his gratitude, writing, “It was an absolute privilege to meet Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji today. On behalf of the people of Assam, I expressed our gratitude for the Government’s decision to approve the Urea Plant in Namrup, which will be a game-changer in the State’s developmental journey. I received valuable guidance from Hon’ble Prime Minister on the upcoming #AdvantageAssam2 Summit and the Mega Jhumur performance and shared our joy in welcoming him to Assam in a few days from now.”
