A high-level sector commander-level coordination meeting was conducted between the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) near BGB BOP Jawdanga in Bangladesh.
The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen bilateral relations, improve coordination, and address various border-related issues between the two nations.
The BSF delegation was led by Lalit Mohan Sharma, DIG of the Sector HQ BSF Tura, while Col. Sarker Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, PBGMS, PSC, the Sector Commander of BGB Mymensingh, led the BGB delegation.

During the discussions, both sides deliberated on key issues, including the Coordinated Border Management Plan and other areas of mutual concern.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both commanders expressed satisfaction with the fruitful and cordial exchange, reflecting the positive and friendly relations between India and Bangladesh.
The commanders reiterated their commitment to maintaining a secure and peaceful border and acknowledged the ongoing efforts of their respective forces to ensure peace and stability in the region.
Both parties agreed to continue holding regular coordination meetings to ensure smooth and effective border management operations moving forward.
