Kohima: Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar has reviewed the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes (CSSs) in Nagaland.
Kumar, who is on a two-day visit to the state, held the review meeting on Monday at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat in Kohima with the departments implementing the schemes.
After detailed discussions with the CSSs’ implementation departments, Kumar stated that all suggestions and challenges faced by the state have been carefully noted. He added that these issues will be presented to the central ministry for further action.
Nagaland Chief Secretary Dr. J. Alam said that the review meeting with senior officials was called to assess the progress of the various schemes and programmes being implemented by the state government with assistance from the Centre.
The meeting also reviewed all the flagship programmes and oversaw the progress in the exploration schemes and aspirational blocks, he said.
During the review meeting, he highlighted some of the major ongoing projects in the state, including a four-lane national highway, railway projects connecting the state.
Home Commissioner Vyasan R also highlighted the key issues unique to the state.
Representatives of Kiphire, Zunheboto, and Noklak districts highlighted the progress and challenges faced by the aspirational districts/ blocks in Nagaland through presentations.

Besides, various CSS implementing departments and aspirational districts also shared their challenges faced during the implementation of the schemes at the meeting.
