Kohima: Nagaland chief electoral officer (CEO) has announced that the draft photo electoral roll for the 28 Koridang (ST) assembly constituency in Mokokchung district, where a bypoll is due, has been published.
In a notification, the CEO said the period for filing claims and objections has been fixed from January 3 to January 24, while disposal of claims and objections will be on February 2. Final publication of the electoral roll will be on February 14.
As per the draft roll, the constituency has 21,586 electors — 10,956 males and 10,630 females. The seat fell vacant after the death of sitting MLA Imkong L Imchen last year.
The notification said electors/applicants can file claims and objections in Forms 6/7/8 as the case may be with the concerned booth level officer (BLO) or with the assistant electoral registration officer and electoral registration officer.
It said forms are available for download in ECI and CEO’s website. Applications can also be filed or submitted online on ECI and CEO websites.
