KOHIMA: In a strategic effort to enhance Nagaland’s educational infrastructure, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio stressed on the need for having a government college in each district of the state. Demonstrating his administration’s dedication to education, he revealed plans for the inauguration of a government college in Shamator as part of this commitment.

“With Shamator being one of the newest districts of Nagaland, it is important for its residents to rally together to promote the district’s advancement,” he told the gathering at the 75th Platinum Jubilee celebration of the Yimkhiung Tribal Council (YTC) on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Rio underscored unity as the need of the hour, asserting it was “necessary for our collective progress”. He further urged the Nagas to appreciate the essence of a common Naga identity and fortify both the territorial and emotional integrity of Nagaland.
