Kohima: The Emerging North East Eco Forum (ENEEF) has successfully distributed 2,000 reusable menstrual kits to female students in Nagaland.
The menstrual kits, designed for two years of use, were distributed in Nuiland and Chumoukedima districts of the state on September 29 and 30.
The initiative, organized in partnership with Shashikiran Charitable Trust and Mooncatcher, USA, aimed at providing sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions to communities in need.
On September 29, kits were handed over to MLA & Advisor K.T. Sukhalu and MLA Phongsi Phom.
The ENEEF team, led by founder Satyajit Aribam, co-founder Vickram Maitei, and Advisor Sentila Yanger, distributed the free washable menstrual kits to girl students at United Village Government High School in Nuiland and Diphupar Government High Secondary School in Chumoukedima.

Additionally, the team also met Deputy Commissioner of Chumoukedima Polan John and handed over the kits for free distribution to marginalized female students in the district government schools.
This initiative is a significant step towards promoting menstrual hygiene and empowering women in the region.
