KOHIMA: The Angami Youth Organization (AYO) will organize a public rally on August 6 in Nagaland’s Kohima.
The organization has called for a rally in protest against unabated illegal taxation, harassment, intimidation, and death threats faced by common people in the state.
The public rally is set to take place at 11:00 am at the Old MLA Hostel Junction, Phoolbari in Kohima.
The organisation has solicited mass participation and support of all concerned citizens and organisations in the public rally.
The protest comes in the wake of a death penalty ‘imposed’ by the NSCN-K Khango on an Angami contractor.
AYO further requested the participants to attend the rally in their respective traditional attire.
“People participating in the public rally are requested to wear traditional attire of their respective communities, symbolizing unity and cultural pride in the face of these challenges,” the AYO said.
