Aizawl: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma, who also holds the finance portfolio, will present the state annual budget for the 2025-2026 financial year in the legislative assembly on March 4.
The budget session of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly will commence on February 19.
This will be the second budget to be presented by Chief Minister Lalduhoma after the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) assumed power in December 2023.
The budget session has been summoned by Mizoram Governor Gen. Vijay Kumar Singh.
The session’s detailed agenda was finalized at a Business Advisory Committee (BAC) Meeting chaired by Assembly speaker Lalbiakzama and attended by representatives of all legislature parties on Wednesday.
Governor Singh will deliver his customary gubernatorial address in the assembly on the first day of the session.
The session will continue till March 20. However, the date can be extended or reduced by the BAC, officials of the assembly secretariat said.

The Mizoram government is expected to introduce multiple bills during the session.
Mizoram’s budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year stood at Rs 14,276.62 crore as presented by Lalduhoma on February 27 last year.
