AIZAWL: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma and his grandchildren have embarked on a journey to Mumbai on Friday to attend the highly anticipated wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
The Chief Minister and his entourage were transported in style aboard a VT VTI Learjet, underscoring the grandeur of the upcoming event.
Expressing his gratitude and excitement for the prestigious invitation, Lalduhoma had earlier taken to his official social media platforms to share the news.
“I am truly honoured to receive an invitation to the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. I am eagerly looking forward to celebrating this beautiful union. Thank you to the Ambani family for including me in such a special occasion,” he had posted.
The wedding ceremony of Anant, son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika, daughter of Viren Merchant, is scheduled to take place today at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
The event is anticipated to be a star-studded affair, symbolising the Ambani family’s prominence and influence in both business and social circles.
Among the dignitaries expected to grace the occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reported to attend, alongside former President Ram Nath Kovind, Chief Ministers, and senior leaders from across party lines.
The gala celebrations are planned over three days, promising a blend of opulence and festivity befitting the union of two influential families.
Mizoram Chief Minister and his grandchildren are expected to return on Monday.
