Aizawl: In a significant educational initiative, the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) has decided to introduce Mizo as a subject in schools within its jurisdiction.
The decision was taken on Friday during the Executive Committee meeting of the 11th CADC.
This move aims to promote the Mizo language and culture among students, ensuring its preservation and encouraging a deeper understanding of the region’s heritage.
As per the decision, Mizo will be incorporated into the curriculum of all government-managed schools, local body schools, and Samagra Shiksha institutions from the primary to upper levels within the CADC area.
