Ahmedabad: A 23-year-old Mizo woman, a resident of Aizawl who used to work in a spa in Ahmedabad’s Navrangpura was found death at Hotel Krishna Palace on SG Highway under mysterious circumstances, police officers said.
According to Bodakdev Police officials, the deceased Rebecca Lalawmpuii, a resident of Kulikawn locality in Aizawl was found death in room 303 at 7.10 a.m on Monday morning after staff from Hotel Krishna Palace informed police about the incident.
To further investigate the matter, Bodakdev Police have also started examining the CCTV footage of the hotel and register entries of the hotel and conducted further investigation.
According to the hotel staff, the deceased had gone to Hotel Krishna Palace on Sunday night with Zomingliana, a Mizo friend and two other friends Rafael and Nishsant Kansara of Karmcharinagar near Satttadar Crossroads in Ghattoldia.
The hotel staffs also told the police officials that she and her friends used to come to the hotel frequently over the last six months.
Bodakdev Police said that neither were there any physical marks nor were there any signs of injuries was found on her body.
Panel of doctors conducted the postmortem examination, and the cause of the death unknown.
The deceased’s family in Aizawl was informed and the body was brought back to Mizoram on Tuesday evening after registering a case of accidental death by Bodakdev Police.
Her mortal remains was brought back home from Ahmedabad to Aizawl by flight and was buried by Kulikawn West YMA branch.
