Ampati: The South West Garo Hills Volleyball Association, in partnership with the District Sports Office, Ampati, successfully hosted the ‘Volleyball Tournament 2024’ on Friday at Students’ Field in Ampati in Meghalaya‘s South West Garo Hills district.
This event aimed at identifying top volleyball talent from the region for the upcoming Meghalaya Games 2025.
A total of 15 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams from across South West Garo Hills participated in the tournament, showcasing their skills and passion for the sport.
In the women’s category, the Mustang Ladies emerged victorious, defeating the Sangma Marak Mix Team. Tachi M Marak was recognized as the Best Player for her exceptional performance.
In the men’s category, the Lions Volleyball Club clinched the championship title by defeating the Andra team. Alan Ch Marak was awarded the Best Player for his outstanding contribution to his team’s success.
