SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) declared the results for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSSLC) Arts stream on Friday.

In the Class 10 examinations, Meghalaya recorded a pass percentage of 55.80%, marking a slight increase of 3.87% compared to the previous year.

Out of the 54,134 students who appeared for the SSLC exams, 30,208 students have successfully cleared the exams that were held between March 15 and April 3.

Notably, 17,504 students passed in all six subjects, while 12,704 students cleared five subjects.

Topping the MBOSE 10th results for 2024 is Anuj Chetry from Sherwood School, Tura, with an outstanding score of 575 marks.

Following closely is Aleytheia Syiemlieh from St. Margaret’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, securing the second position with 574 marks.

Congenial Kharsahnoh from Christian Academy, Shillong, clinched the third position with an impressive score of 571 marks.

In the HSSLC Arts stream, the state witnessed a pass percentage of 79.76%.

The examinations, held from March 1 to 27, saw a total of 25,437 students participate.

Last year’s results showed a pass percentage of 80.30% for Class 12 arts stream, with 81.55% boys and 88.40% girls qualifying.

Earlier on Wednesday, the MBOSE had clarified that, given the current circumstances, there will be no physical display of results at the MBOSE offices in Tura and Shillong.

The Board is committed to facilitating an efficient and accessible process for students to obtain their results, advising them to visit the website, www.mbose.in.

Furthermore, students can download the results booklet from the official MBOSE website and access it through alternative portals including www.megresults.nic.in, www.meghalaya.shiksha, www.result.shiksha, and www.jagranjosh.com.
