SHILLONG: The Assam Regimental Centre conducted a momentous Passing out Parade of the first batch of Agniveers at the picturesque Parsons Parade Ground, Happy Valley in Shillong on Saturday. A total of 44 Agniveers passed out in a grand ceremony, marking the completion of their rigorous training schedule for the recruits in the training centre.
With the successful conclusion of the training, the Agniveers are all set to assume their responsibilities in the Assam Regiment Units stationed at various locations across the country.
The parade saw the Agniveers showcasing their discipline, dedication, and commitment to serving the nation. The event was graced by the presence of Brigadier Dinesh Chandra Singh Kanyal, Sena Medal, Commandant of the Assam Regimental Centre, who reviewed the parade and commended the passing out batch for their exceptional performance.
Addressing the proud gathering, Brigadier Dinesh Chandra Singh Kanyal lauded the Agniveers for maintaining exemplary standards throughout their training and emphasised the importance of striving for perfection. He urged them to remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence as they embark on their journey as valiant soldiers, serving in Assam Regiment Units across the country.
The parade ground reverberated with echoes of the regimental song as the Agniveers, brimming with pride and joy, celebrated their successful transition from enthusiastic recruits to gallant soldiers.
