Tura: Members of Danish soft rock band, the MLTR, on Sunday enjoyed Garo hospitality, especially, the gastronomic delights, with the Sangma brothers.
Sources told Northeast News that Jascha Richter, Mikkel Lentz and Kåre Wanscher of MLTR on Sunday were invited for dinner at the residence of Meghalaya minister James K Sangma in Tura.
Younger brother, Conrad K, Sangma, the chief minister of Meghalaya, was also present at the dinner hosted in the honour of MLTR team members.
Sources said Jasmine A Sangma, wife of James K Sangma took special care to prepare the best possible carte du jour for the special MLTR dinner at Tura.
Thomas Sangma, NPP MLA from North Tura was also present at the dinner.
MLTR will perform at Baljek Airport on December 12 (Monday), a rescheduled date, as part of its ‘Back on the Road Tour 2022’.
Earlier, MLTR was scheduled to perform on December 1 at the Me’gong Festival in Garo hills. However, all festivities in Meghalaya were cancelled following killing of five innocent by Assam Police personnel at Mukroh.
People of Garo hills are euphoric that the MLTR team was ready to perform at Baljek Airport even after 11 days of the scheduled date on the concert.
