Shillong: The Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL) has extended its One-Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme 2025 until April 30, providing consumers with an additional month to clear their outstanding electricity dues.
Initially set to conclude on March 31, the extension follows significant participation and positive response since the scheme’s launch by Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on March 4, in the presence of the Power Minister.
The OTS Scheme 2025 is aimed at easing the financial burden on Domestic and BPL consumers with a connected load of 5KW and below who have faced disconnection due to non-payment.
The scheme offers a 100% waiver on the Delay Payment Surcharge (DPC), allowing consumers to settle their dues through a one-time full payment or an interest-free installment plan.
