Shillong: Two young Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) from Meghalaya, Rose Angeline Kharsyntiew from Mairang in Eastern West Khasi Hills, and Sengbath D Sangma from Samanda in East Garo Hills, received national recognition at the CSC Diwas Celebration held in New Delhi on July 16.
Rose Angeline Kharsyntiew was honoured with the prestigious CSC Udyami Ratna Samman. This award recognizes her significant contributions as a VLE, particularly in generating employment for herself and others through her “Rose CSC” in Mairang.
Her centre provides crucial access to various government and private services for the local community.
Meanwhile, Sengbath D Sangma was awarded as the Top Transacting VLE of FY 2024-2025 for Meghalaya, acknowledging his outstanding performance in facilitating digital transactions.
The awards were part of the CSC Diwas 2025 celebration, marking 16 years since the inception of Common Service Centers (CSCs).
