New Delhi: Meghalaya Veterinary and Fisheries minister A.L. Hek on Friday met DoNER minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and discussed issues related to development of the state.
Hek on Friday met Jyotiraditya Scindia at his official residence and discussed at length different issues related to the development of the state.
After the meeting, Hek told Northeast News that Jyotiraditya Scindia, who took over the reign of the Ministry of Development of Northeastern Region (DoNER), had all praise for the beautiful landscape of Meghalaya.
Scindia reportedly said Meghalaya has a huge potential for the development of the tourism sector.
The DoNER minister said Meghalaya can emerge as the most sought after tourist destination in India.
Scindia told Hek that Meghalaya also has huge potential for livelihood projects in the animal husbandry and fisheries sectors, and promised all possible help.
The Union minister also expressed his keen interest to promote investments in traditional and cultural spaces for the benefit of the tribal population of Meghalaya.
