He added that five more open gyms are in the pipeline for Tura town.
Highlighting other development projects in the region, Sangma informed that the Tura Botanical Garden at Goanang is being revitalised with new walking pathways, a canopy walk, and a cafeteria.
A budget of Rs. 3.8 crore has been earmarked for the makeover.
He also revealed that Nehru Park will soon undergo an upgrade, with plans to add new infrastructure and recreational facilities aimed at engaging both locals and visitors.
During his visit, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for additional classrooms at Bidanchi Higher Secondary School, funded under the Chief Minister’s Special Development Fund at a cost of Rs. 10 lakh.
