Shillong: The picturesque hill station of Shillong in Meghalaya is set to host the 7th Act East Business Show from March 25 to 27, 2025.
The event, organized by the Meghalaya government in collaboration with the Indian Chamber of Commerce, will take place at the State Convention Centre.
This flagship event will see participation from 12 countries, including the Philippines, Germany, Indonesia, Cambodia, UAE, Japan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal, with diplomats and business delegations confirming their presence.
The focus will be on key sectors such as border trade, information technology, and tourism.
The inaugural session on March 25 will be addressed by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, alongside senior government officials from India and high-ranking diplomats.
The session will highlight Meghalaya as a prime investment destination, showcasing potential investment avenues and business synergies.
The event will feature three key sessions–Empowering Growth Through Technology & Innovation In Meghalaya, Making North East India Export Hub of Agriculture, Livestock, Food Processing and Manufacturing and North East India Travel, Tourism & Hospitality.
The event will conclude with a Valedictory Session, “Meghalaya – Future Roadmap,” outlining strategies for sustainable economic growth and regional cooperation.
“Under the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister, Meghalaya is rapidly transforming into a premier investment destination,” stated a press release from the organizers.
“The state is dedicated to fostering a dynamic business ecosystem that encourages entrepreneurship, facilitates seamless investments, and enhances regional and international trade partnerships,” it stated.
Over the three days, the event will facilitate B2B, B2G meetings, and match-making sessions, benefiting businesses, exporters, startups, and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) of Meghalaya.
