Ampati: As part of the nationwide ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign, the South West Garo Hills District Administration organized a successful Sales Day and cleaning drive at the DC Office Complex in Meghalaya‘s Ampati on Tuesday.
The day-long event, held in collaboration with Swachh Bharat Mission (G) South West Garo Hills, was part of the ongoing efforts to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and civic engagement throughout the district.
Live music performances sponsored by MGMP added to the festive atmosphere, attracting a large crowd. Following the festivities, officers and staff from various district administration offices joined a communal cleaning drive to maintain the DC Office Complex.
This initiative is part of a broader campaign to create a cleaner and greener Ampati.

Essay writing competitions were also held in all four blocks of the district, encouraging young people to engage with environmental issues.
