SHILLONG: A two-day Rajya Sainik Board Director’s Conclave was held in Meghalaya’s Shillong on Friday to address the specific welfare needs of ex-servicemen from the Northeast region.
The Serving personnel and Ex-servicemen (ESM) from the Northeastern region have consistently brought great honour to the nation through their exemplary service.
The conclave, hosted by HQ 101 Area for the first time, focused on critical issues such as SPRASH (System for Pension Administration Raksha), ECHS (Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme), and resettlement opportunities.
The discussions were aimed at refining the approach to ESM welfare, customizing it to the specific needs of the Northeast region.

Senior officials from the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, General Officer Commanding of 101 Area Shillong, Pension Comptroller of Defence Accounts, and the Directorate of Resettlement participated alongside Directors from the Rajya Sainik Boards of the Northeastern states.
The conclave aimed to identify and address the unique challenges faced by veterans from the region and develop actionable solutions to enhance their welfare.
