Ampati: A new set of job cards was distributed among beneficiaries in Belbari village in Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills District under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) on Thursday.
The initiative is aimed at providing employment opportunities to rural households, ensuring financial security and livelihood support.
The job card distribution was supervised by the village authorities under the leadership of president Haiba Ram and secretary Joyraj Koch.
The executive committee included Kongkabuti Koch, Mandira Koch, Rohisto Koch, Bihuli Koch, Soranando Koch, Kishan Koch, and Rekson Koch. The agreement was approved by A’king Nokma Bobit Ram Koch.

Officials stated that the job cards would provide beneficiaries access to wage employment under the rural employment scheme.
Villagers expressed optimism about the opportunities provided through the initiative.
