Shillong: Amidst tight schedule of work, Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma on Saturday took out some time to shoot ‘beautiful Meghalaya’ while flying on a helicopter to Lumshnong in East Jaintia hills district.
Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu is often seen taking videos of the Himalayan state from helicopters and share it on social media as a part of his tourism-promotion initiatives.
Conrad K Sangma tweeted, “Meghalaya is such a beauty! Caught a glimpse of the Laitlum canyons, a faint view of the Himalayas and the Leshka Dam on air en route to Lumshnong in East Jaintia Hills District.”

The Laitlum Canyons, which in literal sense means “The End of Hills” or “The End of The World” is nestled in the embrace of majestic hills and valleys.
Similarly, Leshka dam in West Jaintia hills district of Meghalaya is also picturesque, and when viewed from the top, it is marvelous.
