Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Friday (June 20) launched ‘Mission Aman’ A’song, an advanced land management and revenue administration system, aimed at ensuring the protection of land in the Garo Hills region.
The initiative is under the jurisdiction of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council.
CM Conrad Sangma said, “Under this, the A’king land under GHADC will be surveyed, mapped and digitized. This will also include land privately owned to demarcate clear boundaries.”
He congratulated the GHADC for taking this remarkable step, stating that it would ensure the protection of land in the region.
On Thursday, the chief minister laid the foundation stone for the Additional Secretariat Complex at Dakopgre, Tura.
The Rs 156 crore project is seen as a historic milestone for the people of Garo Hills and the state, fulfilling a long-cherished aspiration.

CM Sangma emphasised the significance of the project, describing it as a testament to the aspirations of the people of Garo Hills.
He noted that the Additional Secretariat will serve all five districts of Garo Hills, alleviating the challenges residents face in accessing government services.
