Canadian popstar Bryan Adams’ visit to Meghalaya has sparked excitement across the state, including in its Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma, whose love for rock and metal music is well known.
Speaking to the media ahead of the much-anticipated concert, Sangma shared his enthusiasm.
“It’s a great moment. Thousands of people, including me, have grown up listening to Bryan Adams,” he said, adding that he was thrilled to attend the show.
Known for his musical talents and often dubbed the “coolest CM,” Sangma has previously made headlines for his performances at events, playing instruments, and singing, much to the delight of audiences.
The chief minister’s playlist reflects his passion for hard rock and metal music, a genre he holds close to his heart.
“I’m a big fan of bands like Def Leppard, Van Halen, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Bon Jovi, and, of course, Bryan Adams,” he revealed, underscoring his deep connection with the music that shaped his younger years.
Expressing pride in Meghalaya’s musical heritage, Sangma said, “We are very happy that Bryan Adams is in Shillong, the ‘Rock Capital of India.’”
