Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma expressed his condolences on the untimely demise of Syed Mohammed Andaleeb Razi, Principal Secretary of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, Government of Meghalaya.
Taking to social media, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma wrote, “Deeply pained to hear about the untimely demise of Syed Md. A. Razi, IRTS, Principal Secretary, GoM. Razi’s incredible efficiency and unwavering dedication were evident in every department he handled, and he always took on each task with a level of ownership that inspired those around him.”
The Chief Minister remembered Razi for both his professional competence and warm personality. “But beyond his work ethic, Razi was a warm, jolly soul who brought light to everyone he met. He was deeply loved and respected by his peers, and his absence leaves a profound void in all of us.”
Offering heartfelt condolences, CM Sangma said, “My thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace, dear Razi.”

Syed Mohammed Andaleeb Razi, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer, had been on deputation to the Meghalaya government since 2021.
Prior to this, he served as Chief Commercial Manager of Northern Railway. Earlier, he also served as the Mission Director of Jal Jeevan Mission, Meghalaya.
