Shillong: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) declared the MBOSE Class 10th result 2025 on Saturday (April 5).
Leisha Agarwal from St. Margaret’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong and Avila Kathrene P Lyngdoh from North Liberty Higher Secondary School, Jowai, topped the Class 10 board examination. Both of them scored 582 marks.
Evanshan Nongrum of Sacred Heart Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Shillong, and Pori Panday of Jawaharlal Nehru Higher Secondary School, Phulbari, shared the second position, both scoring 578 marks.
Anushmita Choudhury from St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong; Sourav Pandey from Alpha English Higher Secondary School, Nongpoh; and Eulogemene Rilin L. Suting from K.J.P. Synod Mihngi Higher Secondary School, Jowai shared the third position, each scoring 576 marks.
Anamika Singh of Gorkha Secondary School, Upper Shillong, secured the fourth position with 572 marks.
Taesha Grace Pakyntein from Christian Academy, Shillong; Manderson Thongni from Mawpdai Area Secondary School, Mawpdai; Esther D. Shira from Sherwood School, Tura; and Mahir Islam from Mahendraganj Higher Secondary School, Mahendraganj secured the fifth position, each scoring 570 marks.
Seven students secured the sixth position, each scoring 569 marks. A Arif Sheikh from Mayfair Secondary School, Laitumkhrah; Joody I Ryum Khonglah from Seven Set Higher Secondary School, Shillong; Ranchita Paul from St. Margaret’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong; Obadaiah Joel Kharkongor from Eriben Presbyterian Secondary School, Shillong; Nandini Kumari from Alpha English Higher Secondary School, Nongpoh; Ian Dongkam M Marak from Casarina Public School, Tura; and Bathsheba Ch Sangma from St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Tura.
Kriti Kumari from St. Margaret’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, and Queency Kharsohnoh from Umroi Presbyterian Secondary School, Umroi shared the seventh position, both scoring 568 marks.
Arwanlamphang Lyngdoh from St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong; Abantika Das from Seven Set Higher Secondary School, Shillong; Queency Dora Syngkli from Sacred Heart Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Shillong; Phidalen Malang from St. Mary Mazzarello Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Jowai; Rahnam Miki Dkhar from North Liberty Higher Secondary School, Jowai; Trishita Koch from Embee Rosebud Higher Secondary School, Tura; Algaro Thardy M Marak from St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Dalu; and Musa Kazi from Janapriya Higher Secondary School, Bholarbhita shared the eighth position, each scoring 567 marks.
Jessica Joshi from St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong; Abhay Kumar Shah from Arya Vidyalaya Secondary School, Shillong; and Abu Towfique Elahi Mondal from Jawaharlal Nehru Higher Secondary School, Phulbari shared the ninth position, each scoring 566 marks.
Bhakupar Sun from Seng Khasi Secondary School, Marbisu, and Angel Jollyza Marbaniang from St. Thomas Higher Secondary School, Mairang shared the tenth position, scoring 565 marks.
The Class 10 board examination commenced on February 10 and ended on February 21, 2025. It was held in a single shift, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The SSLC exam started with the English paper and concluded with the Mathematics/ Special Mathematics paper.
In 2024, the MBOSE SSLC result was announced on May 24, 2025. The overall pass percentage was 55.80 per cent. Anuj Chetry (E, M, S&T, SSc, HPE, H) scored 575 marks and topped the Class 10 examination. The boys’ pass percentage (general) was 78.06 per cent, and the girls’ pass percentage (general) was 77.18 per cent.
