Ampati: A successful three-day teacher training programme focused on ‘Mastering Classroom Management’ under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan concluded on Wednesday in Ampati, South West Garo Hills.
The event, aimed at enhancing classroom management skills among educators, was actively supported by Tapos Ch. Marak, SEO and In-Charge of the DSEO of Ampati, who participated in all sessions, engaging in discussions and activities alongside the teachers.
Organised by Bhoomi Educational Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. at the Multi Facility Centre in Ampati, the training was part of the larger Samagra Shiksha, Meghalaya in-service teacher training initiative.
The programme aimed to equip 88 teachers from nearby schools with practical strategies for fostering positive, inclusive, and well-managed classrooms.
By improving classroom management, the initiative sought to boost student engagement and enhance learning outcomes.
The training followed a cascade model, beginning with State Resource Group (SRG) members who were trained as Master Trainers.
These trainers then conducted district-level sessions, ensuring sustainable skill development across all levels of education.
To accommodate teachers, the programme was held locally, allowing convenient participation for educators from surrounding areas.
The sessions were aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasises experiential learning, holistic development, and inclusive education.
The event was kicked off with a warm welcome from Bhoomi Educational Consultancy representatives Chingkame G. Momin and Monisha Marak.
Sessions were led by experienced SRG members, including Zeno D. Sangma, Ashok S. Sangma, Anup Kumar Bakshi, Prasun Ghosh, Ashutosh Majumdar, and Ranganath Koch.
