Guwahati: Sonam Raghuvanshi, an Indore-based woman accused of orchestrating the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi by hiring men while on honeymoon in Meghalaya, is expected to land at Guwahati airport around 2:45 PM on June 10.
Sonam will then be taken to Meghalaya for further investigation and legal proceedings, as the state has secured a seven-day transit custody.
The Shillong Police will transport Sonam from Ghazipur to Patna by road. From Patna, she will be flown to Guwahati on a commercial flight. After landing, she will be taken to Shillong by road.
The Meghalaya police have got Raj Kushwah and two other aides Akash and Vishal’s transit remand from an Indore court on Monday.
Anand Kurmi, the fourth man arrested, will be produced before the court in Indore on Tuesday for transit remand. He was apprehended in the Sagar district, Bundelkhand region.
She was produced before a local court in Ghazipur on Monday (June 9) night for transit remand permission. The court proceedings continued till late in the night.
A total of five persons have been arrested so far in connection with the case.
Sonam claimed in Ghazipur (UP) on Monday morning that she had been kidnapped after her husband’s killing in Meghalaya.
As per reports, Sonam used Raj Kushwah’s, the 21-year-old suspected of conspiring with Sonam Raghuvanshi to kill her husband, Paytm digital payment gateway account to make all payments during the honeymoon trip in Assam and Meghalaya.
Raj Kushwah attended Raja Raghuvanshi’s last rites in Indore on June 5, an apparent attempt to evade investigators from both states.
Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife had gone missing while vacationing at Sohra in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills district on May 23.
Raghuvanshi’s body was found in a gorge near the Weisawdong waterfalls on June 2. Sonam (24) had gone missing since then.

Ghazipur SP Iraz Raja said Sonam was arrested from ‘Kashi Dhaba’ on the Varanasi-Ghazipur main road. She was sent to the Sadar Hospital for treatment and then kept at a one-stop centre, which provides assistance to women in distress, including medical and legal aid.
At around 6.30 pm on Monday, a team of Meghalaya Police took Sonam into custody from the one-stop centre.
