Guwahati: The Indian Navy has embarked on a motorcycle expedition across the Northeastern states. The motorcycle expedition, which began on October 14, will conclude on October 30.
The primary goal of this initiative is to foster maritime awareness and to engage with local youth and civil society.
The Navy has previously undertaken successful motorcycle expeditions in the Northeast in 2022 and Leh/Ladakh in 2023.
A team of 40 Indian Naval personnel, including officers, sailors, and their families, are participating in the expedition. The riders will cover approximately 2,500 kilometers across Meghalaya, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh.
The expedition aimed at showcasing the diverse career opportunities available in the Indian Navy, including the Agnipath Scheme.
This initiative aims at upholding Nari Shakti, by including women officers and spouses, and seeks to connect with naval veterans and veer naris in the region.

The expedition aims to create awareness about the Indian Navy among the younger generation and encourage them to consider a career in the maritime service.
