The core emphasis of the training during “Shakti” will centre on several key objectives.
Firstly, there will be a dedicated effort towards joint planning, which involves the collaborative development of strategies, tactics, and operational plans by both Indian and French military personnel.
Secondly, the exercise will prioritise fostering mutual understanding in the conduct of operations. This involves building shared knowledge, awareness, and familiarity with each other’s operational procedures.

Furthermore, the exercise will address the identification of coordination aspects crucial for jointly operating in a Counter-Terrorism environment under the United Nations mandate.
Participating contingents will undergo rigorous combat conditioning and tactical training, which includes firing drills and ‘battle hardening’ work sessions.
The exercise not only strengthens the bond between the armed forces of India and France but also enhances their preparedness to combat terrorism and ensure global peace and security.
