Shillong: Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), attended the Annual Commanders’ Conference at the Headquarters of Eastern Air Command (EAC) in Meghalaya’s Shillong on August 28-29.
The Annual Commanders’ Conference is being held from August 27 to August 30, 2025.
He was received by Air Marshal Surat Singh, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of EAC.
Upon his arrival, the CAS was given a Guard of Honour and was introduced to all commanders and senior officers of the EAC.
In his address, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh emphasized the crucial role of EAC in securing the northern and eastern borders.
He also highlighted the need for a unified approach to counter emerging threats, challenges and to maintain a high level of preparedness to respond to any situation.
The conference focused on enhancing the operational capabilities and effective coordination with other services to ensure seamless operations in the region.
The CAS awarded trophies to Air Force Stations for achieving excellence in the field of operations, maintenance and administration.

On August 29, students from Air Force School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, and UMEED Vidya Kiran School had the opportunity to interact with the Air Chief. The interaction served as a source of immense motivation and left a lasting impression on the young students.
