RESUBELPARA: A training sessions for the officials of North Garo Hills (NGH) district on the three New Criminal Codes concluded at the Conference Hall, Deputy Commissioner Complex, Resubelpara, on Wednesday.
Conducted by the Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute, Shillong, the objective of the two-day session was to sensitise the government officials on the three New Criminal Codes.
The sensitisation programme, which was organised by the Law Department, Government of Meghalaya from June 18 to 19, saw the active participation of various officials of line department particularly the officials of Police department, Social Welfare and Medical department.
Key highlights of the programme discussed the implementation of three criminal codes – Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bhartiya Saksha Adhiniyam, along with the timelines of their digital initiatives.
Sanme K Sangma, Deputy Secretary Law department, Public Prosecutor NGH and Challang Ch Momin, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ops) NGH, were the resource persons of the programme.
