The ghastly murder of Indore-based transport businessman Raja Raghuvanshi on his honeymoon in Meghalaya will now be captured on the big screen.
According to a news agency, Raja’s kin have given their consent to the project.
The film, to be directed by SP Nimbawat, has been titled “Honeymoon in Shillong”.
“We gave our consent for the upcoming film on the murder case. We believe that if we do not bring the story of my brother’s murder on the big screen, people will not be able to know who was right and who was wrong,” Raja’s elder brother, Sachin, was quoted in the media.
Another brother, Vipin, added that they wanted to allay the misconception around Meghalaya with the movie.
“80 per cent of its shooting will be done in Indore and the remaining 20 per cent in different areas of Meghalaya,” the director elaborated. However, he is not in a position to reveal the cast as of now.
Earlier, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan was rumoured to be planning a movie on the film, though he later denied the speculations.
