Ampati: Meghalaya Koch Students Union (MKSU) celebrated its 1st Koch Youth Festival at the Koch Cultural Centre-cum-Museum at Ghasura in South West Garo hills district.
The students meet started with welcome speech by MKSU general secretary Nabo Koch. The session was presided over by MKSU president Kandarpa Koch.
MKSU felicitated Rangana Koch and Padmini Koch for successful completition of their Doctoral degrees.
Dharmananda Banai Koch, assistant general manager of State Bank of India and Debojit Koch of the DDMA were honoured. The resource persons of the session stressed more on quality education.
The second session was on entrepreneurship personality development and career counseling. The session was presided over by Bijeta Simsang Koch, joint secretary of MKSU.
The programme was graced by Nilesh Trivedi, assistant director, Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Prof Sujata Gurudev, head of the department of English, NEHU.
Both Trivedi and Prof. Gurudev spoke about different career opportunities in the field of business and entrepreneurship.
The Literature and Culture session was graced by senior office bearers of the Koch Krorang Mathop (Koch Literature Society) – Viveka Koch (vice-president), Nirmal Koch (president) and Dhiraj Banai Koch (secretary).
The Koch Krorang Mathop office-bearers urged the upcoming generations to come to work in the field of literature.
The last session was on social reforms, which was chaired by MKSU vice-president Nilendu Koch, and the programme was graced by Shrimad Shyamanda Brahmachari (adhaksha Borkona Ashram).
