Shillong: British singer Ed Sheeran, who is all set to perform in Shillong on February 12, has announced that he is getting back into big pop.

The 33-year-old singer told Variety that his next album, which is yet-to-be-titled, is ready, and he is “getting back into big pop.”

Ed Sheeran fans in India, and especially in Shillong, which is known as the Music Capital of India, can be rest assured of new music in 2025, and it is going to be ‘big pop’.

The singer said he is getting back into ‘big pop’ for the first time in a long time, a move that has been quite exciting.

The Grammy-winning musician has been touring for the past two years, and will be doing shows in Asia before heading back to Europe next spring.

Ed Sheeran is set to return to India as part of his Mathematics Tour and on January 30, 2025, the much awaited tour will begin in Pune.

He is set to perform in Hyderabad on February 2, Chennai on February 5, Bengaluru on February 8, Shillong on February 12, and at Gurugram on February 15, 2025 to wrap up the trip.

The biggest show is likely to be in Shillong, which is known across the globe for the large population of western music aficionados in India.

Ed Sheeran is known for his genre-crossing style infused with elements of folk, rock, rhythm, blues, pop, and hip-hop.

While Thinking Out Loud is all time hit song of Ed Sheeran, the news that the British singer getting back to pop after a long time, is going to make the Shillong show even more exciting.

Apparently, all the tickets of Ed Sheeran’s February 12 show in Shillong is all sold out, and his fans are just counting the days for his arrival in the beautiful capital city of Meghalaya.
