The book “Surreal Symphony of Nature” opens the door to an unexplored Meghalaya, beckoning readers to discover its hidden wonders.
The book, authored by Subroto Bhattacharjee, attempts to acquaint the rest of India with picturesque Meghalaya in a comprehensive and entertaining way.

Subroto Bhattacharjee has spent his childhood in the states of Assam and Meghalaya and has been a journalist in the Northeast region of India for about 45 years.
An avid reader, fond of travelling and meeting people he was often taken aback by how little the rest of India knew about the Northeast of India. After his retirement as the Chief of Bureau, UNI ( United News of India), Bhattacharjee, among other things, wrote scripts for the Doordarshan on places of tourist interest in Meghalaya and other North Eastern states.

The idea of the present book germinated from a few of these scripts. Presently residing in Kolkata, 85-year-young Subroto Bhattacharjee believes that a journalist never retires and presents this book, long overdue, hoping to spread his love and enthusiasm for the North East of India in general and Meghalaya in particular.
