Shillong: Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday laid foundation stone for the Mini Secretariat Building at Pynursla in East Khasi Hills district.

Sangma said the decision to set up a mini-secretariat at Pynursla was taken to ensure efficient public service delivery under one roof, to save time and improve governance in all aspects.

Deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong and few other ministers of Meghalaya were also present at the foundation stone laying ceremony.

Conrad K Sangma also inaugurated the office of the Executive Engineer PWD (Roads) at Pynursla to ensure timely monitoring of all road projects in the constituency and nearby areas.
