Shillong: Major General Rajiv Chhibber, additional director general of Infantry Directorate of the Indian Army interacted with the first batch of Agniveer trainees in Shillong.
Major General Rajiv Chhibber interacted with the Agniveers at the 58 Gorkha Training Centre at Shillong on January 27, and was impressed with the performance of the new recruits.
On January 28, the senior official of the Infantry Directorate also visited Assam Regimental Center at Happy Valley in Shillong on January 28, and had interactions with the new recruits.
Major General Chhibber was briefed on the ongoing training of the pilot batch who reported last month. The general officer also reviewed the training activities being undertaken for the Agniveers.
During the interaction with the Agniveers he congratulated them for choosing the Indian Army as their preferred choice of service and motivated them to pursue their career path with vigour and passion to achieve higher goals for the nation and themselves.
