Ampati: The 1st edition of ‘South Western Motocross Championship 2024’ concluded on a colourful note at Upper Kalaichar in Meghalaya’s South West Garo Hills on Saturday, with riders from across the region showcasing their skills and passion for the sport.
Organized by the Rangira Motors Adventure Club (RMAC), the three-day event saw the participation of 64 riders who showcased their skills and competed in various categories.

Kanam G Sangma, Bregie Riprang R Marak, Rakkim Ch. Marak, Chengseng Ch. Marak, Patsha Kharkongor, Banteilang Jyrwa, and Banteilang Jyrwa emerged as champions in various categories namely local class final category, scooty class category, beginner category, novice category, stroke category, expert category and open category.

The event was graced by the presence of Sanjay Sangma, MLA of Mahendraganj, as the chief guest, and Linda Marak, Nokma of Kalaichar, as the guest of honour.
The event not only provided a platform to the local talents but also fostered a strong sense of sportsmanship among the participants.
