Imphal: Security forces had seized a significant cache of weapons during a search operation in the Churachandpur district of Manipur.
The operation, which took place on Tuesday, led to the recovery of six rockets, along with a variety of other armaments and equipment.
According to the authorities, the weapons were found in the Loilamkot and Nalon areas, which fall under the jurisdiction of the Henglep police station.
In addition to the rockets, the security forces also confiscated one rocket launcher, a country-made mortar (commonly known as Pompi), a 7.62 mm sniper round, a sniper magazine, and several other related items.
In a separate operation on Tuesday, police arrested two members of the banned militant group KCP (PWG) from the village of Morok Inkhol, located in Imphal East District.

The two individuals are believed to have been involved in extortion activities targeting the general public, government officials, and local businesses in different areas of Imphal.
Authorities also seized a 9 mm pistol, a magazine, and seven live 9 mm rounds from their possession.
The police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding these incidents and are working to determine the full extent of the militants’ activities in the region.
