According to a statement from Raj Bhavan, crucial developmental and administrative matters were discussed in the meeting.

“Approvals were also given to some proposals,” it said.

Later in the evening, National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) managing director Dr Krishnan Kumar, along with executive director MS Deval, called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan.

He updated the governor on the progress of various national highway projects underway in the state, and also discussed key challenges being faced in their implementation.

The Governor directed the officials to take necessary measures to address these challenges and ensure the timely completion of the projects.

The meeting comes amid growing public dissatisfaction with NHIDCL’s performance.
