Imphal: Eight dedicated officers from the Manipur Police Department have been recognised for their exceptional service, receiving prestigious awards, including the ‘President’s Medal for Distinguished Service’ and the ‘Medal for Meritorious Service’, according to an official statement released on Sunday.
Among the honourees, Deputy SP (CID – Special Branch) Sorokhaibam Rudranarayan Singh was conferred with the esteemed President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, a recognition of his outstanding contributions and dedication to his duties.
In addition, the Medal for Meritorious Service was awarded to several other officers in acknowledgment of their exemplary performances and significant contributions to law enforcement.
The recipients include Inspector Laishram Chaoba Singh of CID (Special Branch), Jemadar Naorem Seilendra Singh of the 1st IRB, Sub-Inspector Sorokhaibam Santosh Singh, Jemadar Khaidem Chandra Singh, Havildar Lenpu Kom of the 4th IRB, Rifleman Lamthianson Chongloi of the 1st IRB, and Assistant Sub-Inspector Athokpam Tej Singh.
