GUWAHATI: The vibrant and diverse cultures of Northeast will take centre stage at Tobuovimaan’s 33rd photo exhibition, commencing tomorrow at the Guwahati Artist’s Guild.
Titled “Cultures of Northeast”, this six-day extravaganza promises a visual feast of the region’s scenic beauty, cultural tapestry, and artistic interpretations.
According to Tobuovimaan’s website, the exhibition serves as a platform to foster visual communication and cultural exchange through various art forms.
“Visual communication is a perfect medium to negotiate, interpret, and connect people across different languages, cultures, and lifestyles,” reads a statement on their website.
Entries from artists and photographers across the region have been invited, with each participant set to be honoured with a memento for their contribution.
Tobuovimaan, which started its journey in 2019, aims to elevate the role of artists in society by showcasing their talents on a global platform.
“We believe that art transcends language and culture, acting as a powerful catalyst for societal communication,” states Tobuovimaan’s mission.
The platform has organised numerous exhibitions globally, from Kathmandu to Dubai and Muscat, and across 13 cities in India.
Looking ahead, Tobuovimaan plans to expand its international footprint with exhibitions scheduled in Bangladesh, UAE, Italy (Florence), and London.
Their efforts are complemented by StarTale, a global magazine jointly published from Dubai and Kolkata, which features artworks and photography from around the world.
Artists interested in participating can register via email at tobuovimaan@gmail.com or through WhatsApp at 9382510374.
