The trailer for Yash Raj Films’ upcoming spy thriller War 2 was released on Friday. The film, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani, is directed by Ayan Mukerji.
The trailer opens with Hrithik’s Kabir declaring that he has vowed to live in the shadows all his life, for his country. Jr NTR’s character declares that he will make himself capable of doing things that no one else can.
The trailer hints at a globe-trotting action drama. Hrithik and Jr NTR are involved in aerial combats, apart from having a go at each other on top of trains. The two are also seen targeting each other on racing speedboats.
Sharing the trailer, Hrithik Roshan took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “It will not be easy to take sides in this War.”
The trailer features Hrithik delivering a diverse range of emotions from fierce patriotism to romance, along with going head-to-head with both NTR Jr.
The trailer is packed with action-filled visuals and stunts, but the makers have been quite cautious about not revealing anything about the plot here. Tiger Shroff makes an appearance in a photograph as Hrithik’s character remembers his martyrdom.
Kiara Advani also makes an appearance in the trailer, and at first, it looks like she is playing Hrithik’s love interest, but we gradually learn that she too is an army officer in the film.
Hrithik can be seen mouthing high-impact dialogues and giving a dose of nostalgia as he is seen paying a tribute to martyred Captain Khalid Rahmani, played by Actor Tiger Shroff in War (2019).
In addition to the feisty face-off with Jr. NTR, Hrithik is seen sharing effortless chemistry with Kiara Advani. War 2 marks the first time that Hrithik will be seen sharing a screen with both the talented actors, along with the first collaboration with Director Ayan Mukerji.
