The three-city tour will kick off in Shillong on March 25, 2026, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Polo Grounds), followed by Mumbai on March 27 at Jio World Garden, and Bengaluru on March 29 at NICE Grounds.
Tickets for the general public will go on sale exclusively via BookMyShow from 12 PM (Noon) IST on Saturday, December 13.
Excited about the tour, Def Leppard’s lead vocalist Joe Elliott said, “We’re thrilled to announce our India tour dates in 2026. Playing for our fans in India is incredibly exciting. We can’t wait to see you soon!”
Guitarist Phil Collen added, “We are delighted to finally make it to India next year. It’s going to be an unforgettable night for all the fans!”
Naman Pugalia, Chief Business Officer – Live Events, BookMyShow, said the tour marks a landmark moment for rock music in India. He said, “Def Leppard have shaped the soundtrack of millions of lives worldwide, and bringing their first full-scale headliner tour to India is a celebration of music history, fan devotion, and the power of live experiences. India is entering a new era in live entertainment, where legendary global acts are returning to our stages, and rock music is finding a passionate, renewed audience.”
Def Leppard’s three-city India tour is part of Bandland On Tour, an extension of BookMyShow Live’s Bandland rock and alternative music platform, as it continues to expand its footprint across the country.
For over four decades, Def Leppard has been at the forefront of rock, creating a catalogue of hits that defined an era and continues to inspire generations. Their signature sound — soaring harmonies, precision-driven riffs, and stadium-sized emotion — has earned them induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This marks their first full-scale headliner tour in India, eagerly awaited by a thriving community of rock enthusiasts.
With more than 110 million albums sold worldwide and two Diamond Awards in the U.S., Def Leppard’s career includes iconic albums such as Pyromania and Hysteria, featuring legendary tracks like “Rock of Ages”, “Pour Some Sugar on Me”, “Animal”, and “Foolin’”. The band’s global popularity is reflected in their 20 million followers across social media.
The band’s 2023 European tour included a sold-out headline at Wembley Stadium and was part of a two-year global run with Mötley Crüe, during which they sold over 2.1 million tickets across 27 countries and five continents. In the same year, they released the critically acclaimed album Drastic Symphonies alongside the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, which debuted at No. 4 on the UK charts, their highest UK chart position in 32 years.
